Frank’s Bar

Menu and social media sticker creation for a local restaurant

Frank’s was a cafe bar situated in the heart of the Norwich Lanes, serving coffee, cake, cocktails and small plates through to the small hours. In 2019, I approached Frank’s with a proposal to redesign the food and drink menus to make them clearer for customers and more consistent with the brand.

The key focus of the project was to introduce a grid structure to the menu, aligning key elements and giving a more professional overall feel.

“The new menu presents our wide range of drinks and dishes more clearly for customers”

In 2021, as part of my Communication Design MA at Norwich University of the Arts, I spent time learning more about motion graphics and revisited my earlier work for Frank’s to produce a series of animated stickers that could be used to promote the restaurant on social media.

The stickers utilised phrases synonymous with the restaurant, like “lovely job”, as well as more general stickers that could be used when new menus were launched.

“Stickers allow Frank’s to show its character and help to drive interaction with customers”
